Reconstruction of a family house, living room, Ostrava – Poruba

The design of the reconstruction of the interior of a family house in Ostrava-Poruba focused on modernizing, brightening, and opening up the living space in accordance with current housing standards. The existing layout was modified with an emphasis on improving the flow between rooms, creating separate entrances to the rooms, and visually connecting the kitchen with the dining room. The solution includes the installation of sliding doors leading to the garden, the enlargement of window openings, and the relocation of the fireplace with a connection to the existing chimney. The kitchen layout was redesigned to offer more work surface, improved lighting, and a comfortable connection to the dining area. The sanitary facilities were modernized, including a separate WC and the addition of a laundry room. The design respects the original character of the house while introducing contemporary standards of comfortable family living.
